What is In-Home Care?
In-home care is a type of assistance that is provided in the home of our client. Our goal with in-home care is to help you to have more freedom and independence to be able to not only live but to thrive in the home you are comfortable and familiar with. We have a dedicated team of hard-working, certified and trained caregivers that specialize in this type of assistance. We know that many of our loved ones love their homes and it is important to them to continue to stay living in it. We also know that in many circumstances, full-time care is not required. That’s why we offer our in-home care option to help provide that extra care.

The Gables will help you to create a customized care plan that will address your needs for physical, emotional and social well-being. We realize that each person will have their own needs, so each care plan will be individualized based on what will be wanted and needed. Companion Care
Companionship care is for those who do not need “hands-on” care but could use the extra comfort that a companion brings. This allows for seniors and individuals to be able to age without being alone or feeling lonely. Our staff wants to make sure that everyone has companionship with the opportunity to socialize and make sure that no one feels alone and has a listening ear for comfort. Activities of Daily Living
These are activities that people do every day but need assistance from a provider to do, such as personal grooming, teeth brushing, hair combing, dressing, eating, using the restroom, moving from room to room.
Bathing and Showering
We understand when one loses the ability to safely bathe and shower themselves that it may feel like a big part of your freedom is taken from you. We are here to help those patients feel relaxed and clean with a refreshing shower while maintaining dignity. Our care providers can assist with getting in and out of the shower or tub safely, as well as help with bathing, washing and cleaning.
Dressing
Some Clients may have a physical limitation that will cause them to need assistance in dressing themselves. We can assist in outfit selection as well as dressing our clients with gentle care.
Eating
Our caregivers are trained to help make mealtime enjoyable again. Whether that be through prompting and cueing, or assisting with hands-on feeding, our caregivers provide positive encouragement to make it a more pleasant experience.
Restroom Use
We understand the privacy that comes with using the restroom. We can assure you that our care providers will help your loved one with compassion while assisting to use the restroom. Our care assistants are here to make sure they get on and off the toilet safely and are properly cleaned as well as help with any other assistance needed such as incontinence product care.
Medication Assistance
Keeping track of medications can be incredibly complicated and confusing especially if you are needing to take more than one a day. We offer assistance to make sure that medications are taken as prescribed and are properly administered according to all instructions. Assistance with medications can include: medication refill and pick up, medication reminders or administration. We can also assist in monitoring for any possible side effects.
Housework Services
Housework can be added to any additional care or can just be there to help you get a little bit of extra assistance. As we grow older and less space is needed, our homes can seem to feel too large to tend to all by ourselves and housework can become a full time task. Our providers are here to help you with heavy household chores such as cleaning, organizing and yard work.
