Ever since Derek Westover was young, he has always felt a connection with older adults. Senior care is where his passion lies. Derek began his senior care journey as a caregiver during his first year in college. All through college Derek worked with older adults at senior living facilities in various management positions. With a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and years of experience, Derek plans to continue his senior care journey and to learn and to grow with the industry forever. He is excited about the future of senior care!
Derek enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his beautiful wife Randee and cute daughter Lydia. They enjoy camping, hunting, and riding their horses together. Derek and his family always have their two dogs with them on their adventures. He enjoys sharing his animals with the residents and he will often bring his dogs, goats, and sometimes horses to visit.
Derek is excited to be a part of the Gables Family and to be working with people who have the same values as him in regard to family and providing care to the most amazing people in this world! “I know that The Gables will never replace Home for the residents we care for, but I want it to be a second home for anyone who wants to join the family. I pride myself in being passionate about what I do. My goal is to make every person living at The Gables feel like they have a purpose and to change their end of the journey experience. I love what I do.”
