Joyce started her career in the senior living industry as a CNA just over 12 years ago. From there she went on to managing In-Home Heath Care where she obtained her Administration License. Joyce returned to college in the pursuit of becoming a teacher – but after a conversation with a friend it became clear that Joyce’s calling was in senior care. She shifted her path to the nursing program and was beyond happy she made the change!
Joyce was raised in Arbon Valley and American Falls – she is a mother of four grown children and has eight grandchildren! Joyce also has two furry friends, her Pomeranians – Ernie and Missy.
She loves surrounding herself with people – having conversations with them, deep thinking, and creating solutions to problems. Joyce also has a profound love and appreciation for music – as she says, “music speaks to the soul”. She is the Worship Leader of Music at her church and can also be found singing with the American Falls Sharps Community Choir. But her hobbies don’t stop at music! Joyce has spent time at the local theatre as an actress and as the Director of Costume Design – she is an avid volunteer with the American Falls Rotary and the Philanthropic Education Organization. And to top it off, her love of baseball lead her to become a little league baseball coach (she has since hung up her baseball hat)! During the summer months she is a 4-H leader – teaching dog obedience and showmanship, which she has over 15 years of experience in. Joyce enjoys helping others, having a good laugh, a passion for great food, traveling, and being a country farm girl.
Joyce joined The Gables family in 2022 and takes great pride in her work and being a person of her word.
