Rachel Spackman started her healthcare journey as a caregiver at Gables in 2015 while she attended school in hopes of becoming a nurse. Rachel went on to work in the ICU at McKay Dee hospital where she learned a lot but also realized she missed the elderly and relationships that build in assisted living. After working in the ICU, she worked as an office administrator for a home health and hospice company and decided to change her degree from nursing to Healthcare Administration, specializing in long term care. She excitedly re-joined the Gables team as administrator in August 2018. Rachel loves the family-centered atmosphere found at the Gables. “Each resident becomes a family member to me. There’s nothing I love more than getting up every day to see and feel the love they bring to the facility. Getting to know each of them brings so much joy and happiness to me. I feel so blessed to be back and have the opportunity to do what I do”.
